SCREENWRITING

Charles Allen began his screenwriting career as a contributing writer on the movie “Stealing Cars”, working alongside acclaimed writers Will Aldis and Steve Mackall. The movie stars William H Macy and was widely regarded as a stand out commercial success. His novel “Mr. Pink” was shortly thereafter optioned and adapted into the Sundance-acclaimed film “American Animals”, which earned significant praise and attention.

Charles is also the creative force behind the pilot “Pay to Play”, which earned a spot in the Imagine Impact Incubator, a highly selective program founded by Ron Howard and Brian Grazer's Imagine Entertainment.

“Pay to Play” also received recognition from “Stage 32”, an influential online platform for film, television, and theater creatives.

His next screenplay, a biopic titled “Goodman”, finished in the top 15% of the Nichols Fellowship awarded by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, which he co-authored, goes into production with Curiosity Entertainment in Winter 2024.
